Givin' 'Em The Business (Or Getting It)

Feel privileged, because we're letting you in on a KOMU cult legend. You may have heard Jim Riek, Eric Blumberg, myself, or someone else use some sort of the phrase "Giving 'Em The Business."
What exactly does that mean? Nobody really knows. Here's the history. In a 1986 NFL game between the Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets, there was a personal foul against Bills QB Jim Kelly. When announcing the penalty, referee Ben Dreith said, "He was giving him the business down there!" (Watch here)

Last week, "the business" came back when ACC ref Ron Cherry came up with this beauty...

And today, Tyler GOT the business from MU's Parking and Transportation Services. Watch him explain in the video below. (note: Tyler's car was towed unexpectedly right before the crew left town)

So basically what it all comes down to is that you are stupid. The reason would be that even though you attend such a grand university that claims to have the best and brightest of students, you fall short of it. Have you ever bothered to read the back of your parking permit, any parking permit? Do you bother to read at all? It is clearly printed on the back side of the permit that, "Transferring, duplication, altering or fabrications of this permit are prohibited. Violators will be towed." So from the story, you willingly accepted a permit that was "transferred" to you. Sounds logical to me. So I'm going to guess that if my comment doesn't post, it is because you don't want people to know the truth of the matter.
